Dabbous
Situated on Soho's Whitfield Street is the fantastic Dabbous - one of the most thrilling addition to the London restaurant scene, set on two floors. Downstairs is an excellent cocktail bar with a few sofas and tables both large and small. Upstairs is the restaurant, a huge industrial warehouse, with exposed copper pipes and giant air vents craning their way around the ceiling. Very theatrical and almost like being on a movie set.
Oli Dabbous, the chef-patron, trained at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons for four years, and then went on becoming head chef at Agnar Sverrisson's Texture. The restaurant offers a 7-course tasting menu, an à la carte menu and for lunch there is a 4 course set lunch menu.
Downstairs hides one of the city's hottest bars where you can enjoy barrel aged cocktails by candlelight at communal tables surrounded by exposed, industrial brick walls. The bar is run by the award winning mixologist Oskar Kinberg, which explains why the cocktails are of the highest quality. Do try a 'Sting & The Police' cocktail, made with Dewar's Scotch Whisky, Qi smoked black tea liqueur, home-made wild nettle cordial & lemon. The bar snacks are awesome – we recommend that you try the crispy, boneless, chicken wings with garlic aioli. Pure perfection. The intimate, classy setting is ideal for impressing a date or celebrating a special occasion and with a late night DJ on weekends, it's a great place to start your night out.
