We really enjoyed our first expat the Roxburg. The staff were welcoming and the food was varied and delicious. The wine flight was well thought out and added an extra dimension to a lovely meal. Worth the journey over from Lancashire.

Another really lovely meal at The Roxburgh Always enjoy out visits but it’s always extra special on NYE Lovely taster menu (even though the oyster starter was a bit device with Mrs M declining and me ending up with both having never ate them before. An acquired taste most definitely but one I’d be happy to do again if they were all to this standard. Stand out dishes for me were the crab, the scallop and the venison being my star of the show and was the main dish. The squash curry was also a winner with both of us. Only dish I struggled with was the dessert as the shortbread was a bit too thick so hard to chop / slice through with a spoon / fork (although I did manage a decent effort) but the parfait in between was exceptional. A cocktail to start for Mrs M and a soft drink for me (driving due to weather) along with a lovely bottle of Merlot completed another fabulous meal. The staff were great and very attentive without being g in your face. The 2 young lads did a great job in delivering the dishes along with the description of each one. The Roxburgh has to be on every doors must try list if they haven’t already visited be it any time it indeed NYE and is a real gem of a restaurant to have on our doorstep. Looking forward to seeing you once again in 2025

Food was good, a couple of courses outstanding but we’ve been spoiled by previous visits we think.🤔 Too busy and for such a small area there was no ambience - in fairness normally the food provides everything one would need.

A laugh out loud finish!

Been to The Roxburgh a few times and always a great place to eat. Took some friends who’d never been and they weren’t disappointed. Gary and the team never fail to make it a brilliant experience. Thank you all
