Café 21
Café 21's food is big on flavour and short on fussiness. The offering is classic bistro cooking where respect for the fresh and seasonal ingredients leads the way. Expect to find stylish bistro dishes, plenty of comfort food and still have room for pudding. The aim is to create simple but imaginative dishes - putting a contemporary spin on tried and tested favourites - without giving in to fads and fashions. No fancy tricks, no artful presentations, just good, honest flavours.
The shiny, brushed-steel bar has plenty of room.and is just the place to unwind from work or catch up on the gossip with friends. There are over 15 wines by the glass, 11 bottled beers and the cocktails - mixed (or shaken) to order - are something of a legend.
The ground-floor private dining room is a restaurant-within-a-restaurant: spacious, comfortable and stylish with a dedicated team of staff. Discreetly separated from the main restaurant, to the left of the bar, the room can remain quiet and intimate or if you want to feel part of the buzz the doors can be opened. Large windows, polished wooden floorboards, painted panelled walls, splashes of lime green and funky decorations create a sophisticated but fun atmosphere. It can seat 24 people on a single table or over four tables cabaret-style, and up to 40 people over two tables.
