We visited the Imperial Arms last weekend for my father in law’s birthday. We were met by a friendly waitress who informed us our table was down the road in the bistro, to which I was a bit sceptical. On arrival at the bistro we were seated at our table and given the menus. The bistro was a very quirky dining room that when it had more people in had a lovely vibe and good atmosphere. Moving on to the food, we were advised by people who’d been before to skip starters due to portion size. This was excellent advice 😂😂. A great variety of Sunday roast including vegetarian and vegan options (my wife had the veggie nut roast that was delicious), with the biggest Yorkshire puddings we’ve ever seen were presented to us. To say they were man sized portions was a massive understatement, but despite the size the food was delicious. Exceptionally cooked meals with great roast potatoes plenty of vegetables. Despite being completely stuffed 3 of our party of 5 still managed a desert, and the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream as divine. We would 100 pct recommend the Imperial arms to anyone with a hefty appetite, that like good homely cooked food with great service. We will definitely return to sample the regular menu in due course.

The only two things I didn't like was our table was right by the kitchen door. And the only pet hate I have is smelling dirty greasy/fat.
