The Crown Inn
We endeavour to source our ingredients locally from quality suppliers who put as much care into their produce as our kitchen team put into creating your meal. Our meat comes from Calnan Brothers, a family butchers delivering high-quality meats for over 40 years. AM Bailey sources fresh fruit & vegetables from local Oxfordshire farms, and New Wave Seafood brings us responsibly sourced boat-fresh fish from the coast.
STAY
We have 6 bedrooms above the pub ready and waiting to be your perfect base for a few days and nights. Each room has been individually decorated, offering comfy and cosy accommodation. All rooms are en-suite with two special ones set up with in-room roll top baths and rain showers.
We are part of the Hook Norton Brewery pub family. Here's a little bit of info about the brewery. To find out more, we can highly recommend a visit!
THE BREWERY
Hook Norton is one of only 32 family owned breweries and is the finest example of a Victorian Tower Brewery in the country. Of course, the brewery is about so much more than just its fantastic range of award-winning beers. At the brewery, they have a shop, Malthouse Kitchen Cafe, free museum and meeting rooms. Whilst they do dedicate their lives to brewing the best quality ale they have a whole host of other reasons to pop in and see them at the brewery.

The reason why we gave 4 star for service as it was hard to judge as the member off staff who was on that day was on her own, but apart from that the atmosphere the dining experience was good the food was tasty and the portions were a decent size.

Thank you for your excellent help and service at our Book Club last night. We weren’t having a meal but disappointed in the choice of starters for nibbles and sadly no olives.

Warm welcome. Tasty Sunday Roast, just the right amount so it was enjoyable and not overwhelming, topped off with a really delicious, rich gravy. Mine was GF and really, really good. Excellent service and regular check-ins to ask if we were happy. We didn’t have the best table (the wooden chairs aren’t inviting diners to linger) but I did notice the updated decor in the dining area, which is helping to make the pub cosier. Better lighting in the corner would help to create more atmosphere. Noticed the Sunday papers next to the open fire, which made me think of popping back on another weekend for a drink. Loads of improvements. Overall a great experience. Will come again. Thanks!

Nice starter. Squid. Was charged £10 for 250ml Zinfandel, not £8.25 The strip of pork crackling, had a re heated flavour. Is the Crackling cooked fresh with the Pork and served together? Crackling on the actual Pork was nice. The beef was slightly tough. Veggies could have done with cooking for 1 more minute ,, a tad Al Dente Brownie was good value for money and lovely... Good selection of Beers and Value..
