Lovely warm greeting from the staff who couldn’t do enough to make our visit enjoyable. Great strong tea with plenty of extra hot water to make your large brews. Fish delightful and the chips perfect. The slight disappointment was the tartar sauce. Wasn’t good. You could mistake it for mayo. We had one large fish & chips. A regular fish & chips. Mushy peas, curry sauce, two bread and Tea for two. Costing £48. Quite a lot for a chippy dinner

Seafood hot pot starter was fabulous. The crab bisque was disappointing. Far to thick, too much tomato puree that completely overpowered the crab. No white crab meat garnish. I make way better bisque at home. Haddock & chips, mushy peas and curry sauce was very lovely, but not better than we get at home at North Shields fish Quay. Great menu, lovely atmosphere! Staff brilliant.
